Temperance/Sagittarius

Each zodiac sign has a tarot card associated with it, for Sagittarius that card is Temperance. Sagittarius is depicted as the centaur, who represents a combination of beast and human, instinct and wisdom. This blending of the two connects back to Temperance, which calls us to be aware of how we are tempering our conscious and unconscious minds.

I was walking at a local park and found a big patch of wild ginger, one of the plants I've illustrated in the Forager's Daughter Tarot - specifically in the Temperance card. The salamander and wild ginger represent needing the right conditions to thrive. This means the perfect balance of shade and sun, air and moisture, warmth and coolness. I love spotting the flora and fauna from the cards in real life!
