Winter Warmth: in-progress

For my Patreon I’m creating a themed piece that will become a digital wallpaper. The theme is related to the month of January, specifically that month’s flowers and gemstone: carnation and garnet. Garnet comes from the Latin word for pomegranate, reminiscent of the bright red seeds inside the fruit. The line work for the drawing is done in layers, and each layer will have its own sublayer of color and texture added. I’m hoping to achieve a stained glass effect in part of the image. The final file will be available for download this month for Patreon subscribers.
