A little tarot inspiration…

🏵️Daylilies grow prolifically here, in gardens and on their own in roadside ditches and fields. We have these stunning double-petaled variations in our beds, but this is a flower that has been with me ever since I can remember. At my parent's house where I grew up, bright orange tiger lilies are EVERYWHERE. I think my mom planted a few when they first moved in and they’ve just multiplied each year. The vivid color is something I deeply associate with summer, but also with the ideas of plentitude and abundance.

While I was creating the tarot cards my mind immediately went back to those lilies for the Ace of Cups. This card represents a fountain source of love, creativity, and overall abundance and happiness. The Ace of Cups is a starting point and a source of inspiration, much like how I view my childhood home and the gardens and flower beds there. The water flowing from the cup in this card nourishes and encourages personal growth, meaningful relationships, and a deep connection to our intuition. How could you look at these colorful flowers and not feel inspired?

All of the imagery in the Forager’s Daughter Tarot has some personal anecdote or association like this behind it. You can learn more about the cards and their stories or purchase a set on my website: theforagersdaughter.art.
