April Birth Flower - The Sweet Pea

Did you know that sweet pea is one of the birth flowers for April? While these beautiful flowers are related to the bean and legume family they are actually toxic to people and animals, so don't eat the pods but do certainly admire the delicate blooms! This was an Art Nouveau-style illustration I started a while ago with sweet pea as the focus. I hope to work back into the design in the near future, but I do really like how the border designs and embellishments all turned out.
