FD Hermit Card Featured Internationally

Back in December, I was contacted by an editor and art historian from Japan who was working with an astrological researcher on a book series about the tarot. They wanted to know if I would give permission to use the image of The Hermit from the Forager’s Daughter Tarot in their book. I wasn’t really sure what to expect but they shared some initial drafts of the other volumes and the idea of my tarot card in an international book was super interesting, so I said yes.

I was so excited to receive a copy of the Justice/The Hermit volume in March! It is a really nice collection of images related to these two cards throughout history, from Renaissance paintings to 15th-century tarot and Marseilles cards, to a “Contemporary Tarot Artworks” section, where my version is listed. Though I can’t read the text because it’s all in Japanese, it is fascinating to look at all the artwork they included. The book is beautifully laid out and designed, and I’m honored to have my work featured in it. The book is titled “Art History of Tarot” from their “Alchemist Books” series, written by Mr. Ryuji Kagami and edited by Ms. Yayoi Seki. You can find their website here (just remember it’s in Japanese).
